Qualifications
- 5+ years of industry experience with software engineering best practices
- Programming languages Python, Golang, Ruby, JavaScript, and any other
- IaC languages Terraform, Ansible and any other
- CI/CD tooling GitHub Actions, CircleCI, Jenkins, GitLab and others – either of them
- Public cloud platforms AWS, Azure, GCP (extended hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider)
- Containerisation Kubernetes, Docker, Helm
- API life-cycle management and message bus technologies Apigee, Kafka and others
- Web front-end and database products Nginx, Postgres, Mongo, Redis
- Monitoring and data analytics tools Dynatrace, Splunk, Elastic, Prometheus, and others
- Networking experience load balancing, network security, standard network protocols
- Operating system experience Linux, Windows
- Container Orchestration RBAC, network policies, service meshes, Cluster API and experience working with Agile teams
What You’ll Do
You’ll help with the transformation from traditional IT to digital and work in a newly established Cloud Platform Services Group in our newly created Secure Foundations group.
You’ll develop capabilities which will serve as baseline for our client and improving developer experience. You will contribute and learn multiple technology skills (cloud, container orchestration, tooling, network, automation) with a strong focus on open-source products.
You’ll work in small teams (incl. product managers, developers, and operations group) in a highly collaborative way, use the latest technologies and enjoy seeing the direct impact from your work.
You’ll combine ‘Agile’ and DevOps with expertise in cloud, big data and mobile to create and maintain custom solutions, in a way consistent with SRE principles, that help clients increase productivity and make timely decision.
You’ll work in development, implementation, and support to have reliable IT systems and processes supporting cloud native applications and platforms; also, automation of provisioning, quality controls, security auditing and maintenance with continuous measurement and improvement of efficiency of operational activities and resources.
Who You’ll Work With
You’ll join our Gurugram office as part of the Managed Cloud Services group under Secure Foundations. Secure Foundations Managed Cloud Services is an entity within McKinsey’s global IT organization that provides IT support services to McKinsey’s firm members and clients.
The team is responsible for managing and providing services to firm’s global IT infrastructure and applications. It’s a team of skilled engineers who work in a pure SRE mindset, providing reliable infrastructure and further develop towards enhancing the products. Your team members are located across the world in different time zones (Czech Republic, Germany, India, USA, Costa Rica).
