Job Description
We are seeking a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer who will be instrumental in delivering solutions and product innovation for the cloud environment and join our technology team supporting our Commodities and Global Markets group. This is a great opportunity for aa AWS engineer with strong technical and communication skills to deliver in a challenging and dynamic environment.
About The Role
- Bring your enthusiasm and creativity to our team and help us improve our cloud environment.
- Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to assess applications, software and hardware
- Need someone who has a wealth of previous experience in develop, coordinate and administrate AWS infrastructure
- Developing new cloud-based solutions, Troubleshooting and resolving issues with the cloud infrastructure
- Have experience in containerization, (Kubernetes, Docker), EKS, CICD troubleshooting and support tasks
- Creating and configuring virtualized systems in the AWS environment.
- Building tools for deployment, monitoring, and troubleshooting of system resources in an AWS environment.
- Maintaining, testing and implementing disaster recovery procedures.
- Implementing automation using scripting languages (e.g., Python, Perl) to manage AWS services.
- Deploying applications in AWS using EC2 instances and Elastic Beanstalk.
To be successful in this role you’ll bring excellent communication skills and an ability to collaborate effectively with your colleagues and stakeholders across delivery. You’ll also be self-motivated, flexible, adaptable and results oriented.
In addition, you’ll bring a selection of the following technical skills with an experience of 5+ years.
Primary Skills:
- Good hands-on experience in AWS DevOps tools, technologies and APIs associated with IAM, CloudFormation, AMIs, SNS, EC2, EBS, S3, RDS, VPC, ELB, Route 53, Security Groups
- Dev background in any language like Java, Python, C#
- Experience with Docker, Bitbucket, ELK and deploying applications on AWS
- Good understanding of Containerisation technologies like Docker, Kubernetes etc.
- Should be experience in using and configuring cloud monitoring tools and ITSM ticketing tool
Good to have skills:
- Knowledge on Git, Bitbucket, Jira
- Knowledge on platform security aspects
- Good hands-on experience in Unix / Linux (Red Hat) and AWS
- Kubernetes policy enforcement
- Dev background in any language like Java, Python, C#
- Migrating Kubernetes, Docker experience, manage scalability of applications
- Service Account and Cluster Roles
- Logging and monitoring
- IRSA
- Experience in setting up infra – release management and development processes
- Migrating applications to cloud and understands how to manage them
